Artisan Taber Corn Whisky Double Barrel is a premium Canadian bourbon-style whisky from Bridgeland Distillery that builds on the foundation of its original Taber Corn Berbon. Finished using a double-barrel maturation process, it delivers a richer, more developed profile while staying true to the distillery's Alberta craft whisky roots.
We were excited to try this bottle because we had previously reviewed Bridgeland's standard Taber Corn Berbon and were curious to see how the Double Barrel expression compared. After spending time with it, we came away thinking this is the closest Bridgeland has come to delivering a true bourbon-style experience.
Highlights
Rich, layered flavour profile — More depth and complexity than the standard Taber Corn Berbon.
Exceptionally smooth for the proof — Bold yet remarkably easy to sip.
Best bourbon-style release from Bridgeland — The closest we've tasted to traditional bourbon from the distillery.

Tasting Notes (Our Experience)
After spending time with Artisan Taber Corn Whisky Double Barrel, it was immediately clear that this is the most bourbon-forward whisky we've tried from Bridgeland Distillery so far.
The first thing that stood out was how much flavour it delivers. Rich notes of caramel, vanilla, toasted oak, and warm baking spice create a layered profile that continues to evolve throughout the sip.
Despite the higher proof, the whisky is impressively smooth. It finishes with a long, warming sensation that lingers on the palate, but it never comes across as harsh or overly hot. The warmth adds to the experience rather than overpowering the flavours.
Compared to Bridgeland's standard Taber Corn Berbon, this expression feels richer, more developed, and noticeably closer to the classic bourbon profile we typically enjoy.
While it still has its own Canadian craft identity, the extra barrel influence and added complexity make this our favourite bourbon-style whisky from Bridgeland to date.
